valuation surverys

Hello
I'm in the process of buying my first house and have had AIP. I have been informed that the valuation survey took place yesterday. Does this mean that we have 'passed' the affordability and credit checks, if they have gone as far as to carry out the valuation survey.
Thanks

Sorry but no, it doesn't mean that. They should let you know when the underwriter has made a decision. In my case I think he phoned personally to say yes :)

  • In our case it didn't mean anything, they booked the valuation without seeing any statements or anything. As we are paying for the valuation they don't care!
  • In my case I had already passed the underwriters checks before our valuation. We had an incentive from santander that valuation would be free.

i think if we would have had to pay the valuation they would have taken the fee upon application.

So no you havent passed any credit checks yet.
