That's my next step although I actually don't like mice or cats. The council should have been in next week. One wouldn't die in the trap. It was too bloody big

My mate bought one of those sonic mouse plug in things. Her mice all moved next door.0

good luck with your murine problem.
we had them years ago when house developers moved onto derelict land; took ages to evict them but we managed in the end.

Apparently ferrett urine scares mice and rats half to death.
There's an American company I found selling it http://www.mousebgone.com/ -- am considering getting some for rats in our loft space!
Anyone know of somewhere in UK from where ferret urine/scent can be ordered online?
There's this ultra-strong poison too for mice and rats on amazon. Check out its reviews. Supposedly better than all other poisons (rentokill etc) out there: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001DYUR8M0 -
we've got a mousey problem at the minute, would people recommend sonic scarers? Do you have to put them level with the skirting boards or are they fine at worktop-level (evidence of mice has only been spotted on the floor so far)Every act of kindness, no matter how small, isn’t wasted ❤️

I had the sonic plug in thingys, and thought hey worked great - we get field mice every so often. I need to get myself a new oneto make sure i dont get any this year, having crows in the loft and no heating is enough to be dealing with.
to find out where the mice are getting in, sieve flour onto the floor and check the next day to see if/where the prints lead to/from.
I wouldnt recommend poison, the family before me in this house used poison and when i moved in and started to clear out some forgotten cupboards (high, above the old boiler, in the bedroom) and thier was a decomposing mouse. gross.
get the modern version of the old mouse traps and slather with peanut butter or chew a bit of mars/snickers bar and put on the trap.Living Simply, not simply living.Weight Loss - 5b/55lb

Thanks LolaLemon, we've got poison down at the moment, but I'm starting to think it's not working because more and more is disappearing! I haven't noticed any smells but I'm starting to worry that they might die inside the house. I haven't heard any scratching so I don't think they're in the walls (we've cavity wall insulation so maybe that's why?) Ah well, hopefully they'll be gone soon!!Every act of kindness, no matter how small, isn’t wasted ❤️
