Mums are special - they really are!

To celebrate Mother's Day 2015, Manchester Airport has teamed up with
Thomas Cook Airlines in search for the UK's most special Mum.

The winning entry will be the Mum who is selected as the UK's most special mum, and they will win a family holiday for four people on Thomas Cook Airlines' brand new direct flight to Miami from Manchester Airport!

To nominate a really special Mum, tell us why they are so special in 50 words or less. It doesn't have to be your own Mum, you can nominate any mum who you feel is special and deserves to win a family holiday.

To make an entry, simply tell us the name of the special Mum you are nominating and what makes them special! Simple as that.
But hurry - entries close at midnight on Monday 16th March 2015.

Manchester Airport / Thomas Cook Airlines Mother’s Day competition

1. To enter the competition, you must use the relevant entry form to submit the name of a mother (‘special mum’) and a reason why that mother is special.
2. The prize is a family holiday to Miami, Florida for up to four people with Thomas Cook Airlines for the nominated ‘special mum’. The prize comprises of four return economy tickets plus a voucher for £1000.00 towards accommodation costs. The winner of the prize is the nominated ‘special mum’ and not the entrant. The award of the prize is subject to the winning ‘special mum’ agreeing to these terms and conditions. No refund will be made for under spend of £1000.00 and prize winners will be required to contribute any costs above £1000.00.
3. Flights are subject to availability at time of booking and may not be taken at peak periods. Certain dates are restricted and the prize winner cannot redeem their prize during these dates.
4. Flights may be changed or cancelled by the airline without prior notice.
5. Frequent flyer miles cannot be accrued or redeemed in connection with prize tickets, nor can prize tickets be redeemed for cash.
6. The winning ‘special mum’ is requested to make contact with the competition organiser at least one month prior to the preferred departure dates so that bookings can be completed in good time to avoid disappointment.
7. You can enter the competition if you and your ‘special mum’ are a UK resident (including the Channel Islands), aged 18+. Employees of the Manchester Airport Group (MAG), Thomas Cook Airlines (and their families), any part of the Thomas Cook Group or any agencies or persons connected with the promotion may not enter.
8. The winning ‘special mum’ will be required to take part in any publicity relating to this competition.
9. All entrants must provide their full name, address and daytime phone number to enter the competition as well as the name of the nominated ‘special mum’ who will be the winner of the prize. MAG will use personal details to administer this promotion, and will not publish them or provide them to anyone without the entrant’s permission. 10. Only one entry permitted per person. Entries made in bulk or by third parties are prohibited and will not be counted.
11. Entries received after the closing date will not be considered and won’t be returned. Within 14 days after the closing date, the winning ‘special mum’ will be selected from the entries by a voting panel on the basis of the most compelling entry. The voting panel will consist of an independent adjudicator from each of Thomas Cook Airlines and MAG.
12. There is no cash alternative to the prize and the prize is not transferable. Our MAG / Thomas Cook Airlines decision as to the winner is final, and no correspondence can be entered into.
13. The entrant of the winning ‘special mum’ will be notified within 30 days of the closing date and MAG will provide details of how the winning ‘special mum’ can claim the prize. The name of the entrant of the winning ‘special mum’ and the winning ‘special mum’ can be obtained by contacting Manchester Airport, Marketing, 5th Floor Olympic House, Manchester within six weeks of the closing date.
14. MAG/ Thomas Cook Airlines reserve the right to change these rules or to cancel, alter or amend the promotion.
15. If the winning ‘special mum’ does not claim the prize from MAG within 45 days of the closing date in accordance with the details provided to the entrant, or if the winning ‘special mum’ refuses to agree to these terms and conditions when requested by MAG, MAG will offer the prize to a runner up, or re-offer the prize in another promotion.
16. MAG excludes liability to the full extent permitted by law for any loss, damage or injury occurred arising from entry or acceptance of a prize.
17. The promotion is subject to the laws of England.
18. The competition closes at midnight on Monday 16th March 2015.
19. The prize details are as promoted, and cannot be amended.
20. The prize must be booked by 15th May 2015
21. The prize must be taken before 31st October 2015. i.e. the return leg of the journey must be completed before the 31st October 2015.
22. The flights must depart from Manchester Airport only.
23. The prize consists of flights and voucher for £1000.00 to cover accommodation costs. No other services / products are included (e.g. transfers, spending money, insurance, food, flight extras or any other items or expense not specifically stated in the prize description).
24. It is the responsibility of the winner to identify the individuals who will be travelling to Miami for this prize. The winner of the prize is the named ‘special mum’ not the person who entered and nominated the ‘special mum.’
25. Upon entry of this promotion, the entrant agrees to be bound by all of the rules of this competition.
