Charge on property for old debt

Hi,
I had bad credit in the past (pre 2010), all of which will drop off my credit file in October 2016. I am not currently on my mortgage because of these debts and its solely in my husbands name. We are coming to the end of our fixed term mortgage next year and are looking to re mortgage with me on it. There will be £21,000 equity in the property. My credit score now is at 840 as I have been perfect since that time. I have also just been accepted for a Capital one credit card.
How likely is it that I will be accepted as a joint mortgage? Also, can any of the defaulted companies put a charge on the property once the 6 years has elapsed.
Thanks
