How much is your salary?"Facism arrives as your friend. It will restore your honour, make you feel proud, protect your house, give you a job, clean up the neighbourhood, remind you of how great you once were, clear out the venal and the corrupt, remove anything you feel is unlike you... [it] doesn't walk in saying, "our programme means militias, mass imprisonments, transportations, war and persecution."0

It may be nothing to do with you, it could be as simple as that have already lent 51% of this tranche of money at the 3.9% headline rate (low rates like this are very popular) From their point of view it makes no sense at all to lend a single penny mopre at this rate, they will try and lend the remaining 49% at the highest margin they can.

Sainsbury's have a great headline rate but the application procedure on the site seems questionable. I applied for £8k at the end of last week. When I got through to the end of the online procedure, I was told I was approved in principle but I hadn't been awarded the headline and they'd follow up with an email. No details of what I had been given, though, which was a bit frustrating.
The email didn't arrive so that night I phoned. Turns out all the info on their site was wrong - I got the headline rate no problem and the paperwork was approved for posting the next day.
From the nature of this thread and my experience, I'd suggest maybe applying over the phone if you're looking to use Sainsbury's offer. The website seems to back up quite badly.0 -
Well that was quick, I received the money this evening after posting back the signed credit agreement on Monday afternoon.
I got 7.7% for £10k over 5 years. I'm pretty happy considering its my first ever loan. Just to clarify this is 7.7% decent?
I also applied at the same time with my bank (Santander) and they turned me down. Tho I have £5,000 CC with them.0
