Hi

I was issued a fine in Huddersfield by UKCPS Ltd Leeds for apparently being parked in a disabled bay, however there was no visible marking to make me aware that it was.

I was told by a member of the gym where it was issued that these are not enforceable, and to forget about it. I have since read online on various websites that these companies don't have a leg to stand on and rarely do people be taken to court.

Whats the truth in this, and I'm not after preachy posters telling me I'm in the wrong and its simply a company doing their job.

There is a parking sub folder of this main Motoring folder, you'd probably be better posting there. I'd read the posted/pinned FAQ as they can get a bit grumpy in you don't first

Basically from what I understand you appeal, they reject your appeal and you get Debt Collectors letters for 6 years that you just ignore.

But check with them first. There is one company who take people to court but UKCPS isn't one of them I think.

Get yourself into the Parking Tickets Forum and start by reading the Newbies Sticky, carefully. It has all you need to deal with UKCPS effectively.

Then if this thread isn't moved, start your own in that forum when you have the bones your challenge/appeal together for plenty good advice.
