So you got a cold call from somebody who is advising you in invest your hard earned money in dodgy unregulated investments?
Its definately not a good idea and could potentially be a scam.
They have an FCA warning out on the company too

Not a snowballs chance in hell that is likely to be a good idea.1

So, you have a nice steady eddie Pru plan that suits mainstream investors and have been advised by someone (which sounds like one of those cold calling pension review scams as they do all the dodgy car parks, cape verde property, biofuels, forestry etc) to invest in high risk unregulated schemes that no sane person would go near with a bargepole unless its a tiny amount of their overall holdings.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). It appears that you are a victim of scammers, probably as a result of cold calling. The rule is simple: never do business with any financial services company that cold calls you.
If you have a million or so in savings already and are considering investing no more than 5% of that in these esoteric schemes it's not necessarily a bad idea. Otherwise forget it, it's a good way to lose your money.
If by Dolphin you mean Dolphin Capital Investors UK Limited you should follow that link to the Financial Conduct Authority warning about doing business with them.1
