And I'm a bit worried. No reason for writing this other than that.
No idea what to expect either. I'm in my 40s and been having "absences" and various weird non symptoms if that makes sense?
Seem my gp and had this app within 4 weeks.
I suppose I'm scared there's something seriously wrong, but, my head tells me I'm just getting old !!
Anyway it's this morning so fingers crossed. X

When I went, he tested my reflexes, tested my balance, then I had to take my shoes and socks off and he did a test on the soles of my feet to check the responses were normal (I wasn't expecting to get my legs out in a neurologist appointment :rotfl: ) Afterwards he sent me for a blood test and further tests.
I can't really pre-empt what your neurologist or registrar is going to say, but I just wanted to post and say the appointment itself is not too bad, so try not to worry. I hope it goes ok for you.The report button is for abusive posts, not because you don't like someone, or their opinions0 -
I was in there for 4 minutes. I wasn't examined. He said he seen I have migraine and that's that!! I can drive etc... I'm really quite lost & confused now. Thank you for your replies.0

If you don't feel that your symptoms were taken seriously, go back to your GP again. Do you have any family who would come with you and perhaps back you up a bit? Or have they noticed any of the issues that you have? I think we all have absences to some degree and it's difficult for any individual to judge whether it really is something to worry about or whether it's something else - like tiredness or grief or worry that's the underlying issue. But definitely if you have concerns, go back!0

Be sure to get a copy of the letter he writes to your GP.
I had a similar experience earlier this year where I felt I was just rushed in and out of a hospital appointment in 5 minutes and I had my doubts about what the registrar had said. But when I read the letter he wrote to my doctor it went into more detail and it made much more sense to me.0 -
After Many Many months 26 approx of trying to get my wife's condition diagnosed and treated correctly. We decided to turn to the migraine center and finally my wife has been diagnosed as having chronic migraines and will now get the care and correct treatment to help her with her disability going forward and believe me its been very tough0
