does he need it for work .does the lorry have a cigarette lighter he can plug it into .
Does he need a uk or european one."Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many"0 -
If you post the name of the company, there are some very smart people on here who seem to be able to track down every little bit of info you could possibly need when spending so much money!0

You are unlikely to get a truck sat nav for £100 ,my hubby also a HGV driver uses a Garmin and just changes some of the settings ie avoid low bridges etc.
Works fine for him although a pain in the a*r*e if he forgets to change them back on a day out !This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

I think this is the best bet for £100, free map updates, free traffic if connected to smartphone and has better screen than other(capacitive not resistive).
A cheaper alternative, but still with lifetime map updates.

Another option is using a smartphone with software. This one is truck specific which may well be suitable, An example:

Does he visit sites without an address or post-code? If so he may want a device that can accept co-ordinates. My Tomtom Go does this, not that I need it every day but it does come in handy when required.
Also you may be better off with one of the older tomtoms with an sd card slot.
Tomtom are also available with dedicated truck software versions.
