Problems Remortgaging Under New Lending Rules

Just wondered if anyone had struggled to remortgage since those new lending rules came in to place last year? We aren't due to remortgage for another 12 months but our FTB mortgage was approved before those rules came in to affect. I'm already worrying that we won't be able to remortgage!

The new rules are impacting new lending more than existing borrowers. What is causing you concern?0

I'm a born worrier unfortunately! I don't want to be stuck with our mortgage after the fixed term ends, I want to be able to remortgage and get a good deal and hopefully knock a few years off the mortgage.0

Worse case scenario is that you would be stuck withyour current lender and then whatever retention products they have.
You cant worry about switching your mortgage otherwise your going to be worrying every 2-3 years for the next 20-30 years!I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
