xxxxxx any help greatly appreciated, am so ashamed of the mess we are in xxxxx

You could switch to a free account. Alternatively, did you know that some of your smilemore benefits cover both of you - for example the travel insurance will cover you and your partner if you travel together + kids? So in effect you are paying to duplicate some of the benefits.

simon's right, read the small print into your bank accounts & you should have some free insurance thrown in there. OH & i have an Ultimate Reward Account which includes Breakdown Cover,Mobile phone insurance,Travel Insurance,Travel Accident cover & Home Emergency Cover for £10 a month. We didn't read the small print properly & i went & paid £31.50 for Breakdown Cover & couldn't get a refund as i didn't cancel within 14 days.

Have you read the cutting tax board to see if you can get your council tax band re-assessed downwards? Worth a try, costs nothing if you send by email to voa & if you're lucky your monthly charge will be less & you could be due a bit of a rebate.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

Whilst you are waiting to make an appointment with the CAb did out all your paperwork about your debts so you know which have the highest APRs and so need to be tackled 1st. Start a spending giary and write down EVERYTHING you spend. Check the Old Style boards for ways of cutting back, there is loads of great advice there. Main thing is you have done the worst part, ie faced the debt. There is a proverb (Chinese I think) which goes:- Trouble knocked at the door, fear called out "Who's there", courage opened the door and there was no one there. Debts a bit like that, its always better to face it (and I am speaking as someone who didnt face their debts for years, but am now thankfully debt free( except for the mortgage)
Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)
  • Aw Thank U For The Proverb Tealady, It Really Means A Lot. Feeling More Positive Now.... We Can Beat The Debt, The Debt Wont Beat Us!! Xxxxxxxxx

Thanks For The Advice I Will Do That Xxx
