  • Well done with the card payments, I always think it great to see people posting about the payments they've made, especially when they're those random smaller amounts. It's really shows that every penny is being made to count :) I hope you enjoyed your walk/jog, it was certainly a lovely day for it! I did manage to catch a bit of the nice weather walking to and from work myself but roll on spring/summer and even more blue skies and sunshine I say:)

  • Good evening Diaryland!

Happy Mid-Week Hump day!! yeayyyy!! Still feeling more positive than I have been in a while :). Debt-busting is going better than dieting today! Realllly craving chocolate and have been all day :/. Must resit, must reist... But I have managed the following:

*I have paid off £150 on credit card 1 (monthly expected payment, nothing extra than planned).
*I have done some hours as my casual job this evening so some nice extra pennies at the end of next month :).
*Spent £20 today on petrol but that came out of my monthly 'petrol' pot :), other than that it has been a NSD.
*No more bids on ebay but a few more watchers.

Still a massive way to go, but every day is one day closer to being debt free... :).

I hope everyone has had a good day.

  • Just found your diary and subscribed - well done on making such a good start and long my it continue! :D
  • Thank you!! :)
Hope everyone has had a good day? :) I have had a good one, I took an impromptu half day today and managed to clean the whole house, sounds a bit of a waste but I'm working at the weekend so it's nice to know it's all done :), debt-busting wise I managed to get 7 more items on eBay.

Fat club tonight - put on half a pound but I deserved to so can't complain. Spent £8 in Mr T afterwards on cereal, Mothers Day card, milk and a pizza for tea (after weigh in treat!) all out of my spends envelope. Just having a quick catch up and cuppa then shall be off to bed, yawn!

Have a good eve all x

    Afternoon all!

Not much to report today, I am working today and tomorrow so some extra pennies at the end of April. Quidco payment hit my bank account yesterday so I paid off £1.40 on credit card #1. I visited a friend last night and took round chips from the chippy so a bit of money spent there but all out of my budget for the month. Off to the pub tonight but I am not intending to drink much due to working tomorrow so i am going to take £10 and once it is gone it's gone! Trying desperately to avoid the work tuck shop, diet still not going well, eeekk!!

    Happy Weekend all! x

  • Managed to spend £20 in the pub on Saturday meaning I have about £4 'blow money' (as Dave Ramsey would say!) for the rest of the month! Whoops! I don't have an awful lot to pay out for to be fair, Iam away next weekend for a 40th birthday but that is all paid for.

NSD yesterday as was working again and crashed at home in the evening.

Ebay sales made £59 after all fees have been put aside so I have paid that off of a credit card meaning my signature is looking slightly brighter!

I am still feeling very positive but I still seem to spend a heck of a lot of time just looking at figures, working things out and thinking about how long it will take to pay all this off :/ meh!

On the plus side today is going okay for a Monday! x

  • Oh blimey, the most unexpected thing happened today. I have a little job in the morning Mon-Fri on a reception desk, I finish there at 8am and then go on to my main job. I was approached today by the manager who said that the lady who comes in at 8am has made her intentions clear that she will be retiring soon, and would I be interested in the full time job. I can keep the little morning one if I wanted and they would come to some sort of arrangement and perhaps pay me overtime for that one. The pay is about £400 a year more than what I am on now and goes up a potential further 2k. The company is world renowned and their pension scheme, benefits etc are particularly generous, as is their leave (close down for xmas and new year for a start!) and they are notoriously hard to get in to but I do enjoy my job and the people are lovely, and my line manager has been particularly supportive of me and my extra job escapades! They also took a chance with employing me because I had no previous experience in the field that the job is! Trouble is here I am at the top of my pay bracket and there isn’t really much room for growth – although my line manager is particularly keen for me to do a Prince2 course later in the year with the view to hopefully (but not guaranteed) expanding my job-role, whereas the one offered is a Receptionist post (nothing wrong with that) but taking the job would be a good way into the organisation… oh what to do.. I thanked them for thinking of me and said I would think about it. Trouble is I am the most indecisive person in the world!
Noticed another £1.14 has been paid into Quidco account so I have asked for a withdrawl on that and will pay off of credit card 1 when it arrives in bank. I have some more items listed on ebay, not many bids as yet but a few watchers so we shall see.

    Happy Tuesday everyone!

  • Well done on the job offer, it's hard making that sort of decission.

Very nice to be asked in the first place though so they obviously know that you can handle the job having done your morning job.
