I sent off my application for a mortgage with these jokers in April 2007. In June I didn't hear anything from them and I was told that they were waiting on additional documents from me even though they didn't contact me about it.
Since then every 2-3 weeks they keep on asking me for some ridiculous letters or documents that I already sent in with the application.
Anyway after 4 months of waiting even though I was promised that this takes 4 weeks on average, they decided that they cannot lend me the full amount that I applied for. I ordered all my furnitures in June and anyday now they going to make the delivery and I have nowhere to put them.
Now I have to apply to another lender and I have to pay for a new valuation.
Is it possible for me to get the valuation fees back from them?

if the valuation was done - very unlikely. You could always put a written complaint into them and see where that gets you. Did you employ a broker? If so why didnt they keep more on top of this.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
