Clydesdale Bank Loan

Clydesdale Bank are offering very attractive rates on loan up to £25,000.

I've applied jointly with my wife and have taken advantage of the £150 switch deals for new bank accounts for them but has anyone had any experience with applying on the deal lately and how long did it take?

My application is pending for "checks" and wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this and how long it took for a positive or negative decision to come.

Thanks

You have to wait for a few days then check online, if the status is still pending after say 3/4 days then call them up.

I took a loan out from CB 2/3 years ago at a good rate, the one advertised to buy a car, which was accepted within a week and now paid off.

I applied for one recently to consolidate a few cards but only got offered a rate 3 times the advertised one which I didn't proceed with.

You may get the advertised rate or they may offer you a higher rate depending on your circumstances.

Yes I may be wrong but I believe their "instant decision" is nonsence.
I "have heard" that said computer will make out part of the decision making process software is "out of action".
Then an email may suggest your application is with the credit team for a decision within 2 working days.

Nothing "attractive" about paying loan interest at any rate IMO.

True but a rate at 4% is more attractive than 15% is it not? Irrespective if you disagree with paying interest on any loan.

    I presume you have a 0% mortgage?
