This did make me :o and :rotfl:

As I quite often question myself. I think my kids think it's quite normal to have a cupboard FULL of cereal bars and a drawer full of 10p sweets (along with the airing cupboard full of soap and wardrobe full of UDI's but they r hidden lol) so we're used to it but when their friends come round and their mouths drop open when they see the treats I think......ok we're definitely not normal :rotfl:

But yes there is more to life than shopping. But will that stop me (or any of us) rushing out at the thought of free/cheap food. Probably not :o

I have stashes but it is only things we will use, generally washing stuff and now carex :D
I have no need for 37 bottles of stain remover even if after apg its only 37p per bottle.
I have noticed some people get excited if something glitches even if in reality its still not cheap

    Morning

    You're so bossy David.

I'm in the dog house this morning after leaving the car door open slightly so we couldn't go shopping with flat battery. Phoned father to bring jump leads when he comes round later and managed to wake him up. Oops. Dd still talking to me tho :D

Glad you had a nice Birthday QoC, good luck with the chickens :j:j

    Hugs to Snap x

No just offering a different view, unless of course you got my pm that was meant for PD  :o

I also almost always stick to things we will use (do UDI's count :o )
Not only do we not have the space for unnecessary items but my OH would be even more  about me rushing to sada at the drop of a hat and coming back with all sorts :D

Ask Nanny I do every now and then, but I prefer to laugh and joke life/people are way too serious generally about nothing.
Ive got a hole in my sock  the bus was 21 seconds late today  etc etc :p

Well said David ..enjoy your day I have chores to do before you arrive:rotfl::rotfl:;)
  • I've 61 bottles of hand wash, I say that because only 25% is carex after I realised the palmolive has 50ml more in (carex 250ml, palmolive 300ml)

This prompted me and OH to a real :rotfl: in the car when we realised that if we chose to use four each year then were set for the next fifteen years.

This then led to the discussion of what could be in fifteen years...

    - Space cars?
    - No need for handwash?
    - Drones delivering shopping?
    ... or robots?
    - Us having Children?

Well if you wont use them then they are a waste of money unless of course you are making money on them (udis) but that's another discussion

Is that the one by the river were someone died, I think I bought shares in it last time I was there only asked for a wine and a pint. To be fair thats what I got because for about 30 minutes that's all I did whine about the price

    Yes its on the river

and yes its notorious for people falling in the river - it has 2 university's, the nearest town for an army base and a mecca for hen/stag parties as well as being a tourist mecca - drink is often involved sadly.
Probably the same could be said for Oxford or Cambridge etc

we go in there when we are up there when the free drink offer is on and yes it does get ludicrously busy especially at weekends, same as most cities.

That might be an underestimate, only 4 in a year?
