Just checking the emails before I tackle a very knotty problem this may involve swearing and cursing and some home truths - more of this later
    - it seems to be a week of sorting out problems with no immediately obvious solutions.

I read the MSE weekly update -this is essential reading, everyone needs to read this, useful stuff about childcare vouchers, prescription charges, ISAs, bank switching and stuff that needs sorting before April 1st or the new tax year.

There is also a link where you can calculate what your income, tax and national insurance will be for the next tax year. OH got a new tax code this week - no idea why but everyones tax free allowance has gone up and they sometimes send him 3 in a year as they twiddle with the amount of tax they want.

so I used the link and did the sums with this years code and again with next years code. The difference is exactly £20 a week :T

(hopefully OHs pay office actually get around to implementing the new code in April this year rather than 8 weeks later like last year! )

a good start for the day :j

Morning, off work for a few days so am hoping to significantly increase the size of stash. Got a c&c at 9, going to go instore too and then it's back home for a cuppa and then the 3 for £2 bleach is coming out! Will post results asap

    Morning CouponKathy,
Enjoy your couple of days off work hopefully I will catch you got a cuppa.
Thnaks so much for all the info on the Debenhams codes yesterday, it worked a treat for me. Also at work were giving out 20% leaflets, I will drop some through your door later along with a few of your glitchy items that I still have.

Hope everyone has a nice day. X
We're just happy to have a home, a family and our health. Whatever else is just added and it fits. :)

Its not really the same thing. First I'll say I don't really care for Top Gear and often find Jeremy Clarkson annoying however the programme would not be the same without him (not sure if they are planning to continue the programme without him). A lot of people like him and the programme makes lots of money for the BBC. I fear that without Top Gear our TV licence fee will increase :(

IMO it's not that big a deal. They should have just paid the man who got punched some money to not make a fuss. I'm sure he would have been happy with that. No need to axe a programme that is loved in many different countries and cause disappointment for hundreds of thousands if not millions of people

Did he actually hit him though, there are so many conflicting stories.
Has anyone ever tried the ASDA Smartprice Chicken Breast Fillets. When it comes to meat, I always think that price reflects the quality there were 3 reviews on MSM all positive so wondered what the elite thought :)

I've not tried the Asda ones but I swear by the Tesco Value ones so worth going for it. I used to be a brand snob but not anymore :rotfl:
Thanks to bubbs for the cat food info. Managed to get 5 boxes tonight in Bayswater M&S. Lots left on shelf. DH had the hump because we don't have a cat. What is it with men? Told him I'll buy one LOL!
Got it for my sons 2 moggies, they'll eat anything.

Now why don't they get it, you don't have to have a cat to buy cheap cat food :)

Morning Elite, nice weather for ducks here.

    Here's to a good day all :T

I write thank you letters when people have me over to stay. I love picking out some pretty paper and an envelope :) We were always told to write them as children so I think it's held me in good stead.

I can vouch for that :grouphug:
