A CBY Pork Sausages or CBY Irish Recipe Thick Pork Sausages (same number and same weight as the Wall's) may be soon vs M at 79p.

Oh my I'm just going to be rid of this hilarity before I leave. 'Chosen by you sausages make me giggle like a teenage girl' :o :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

That phrase 'chosen by you sausages' always makes me think of a line of 'sausages' and someone going down the line saying

    'yes'
    'yes'
    'NO:eek:'
    'oh maybe'
    'Ooooooh YYYYeeeesss'
    'are you kidding'
'can I go back and look at no.5 sausage'
'you said sausages, not chipolatas :( '
'Oh my well keep the best till last why dontcha ;)'

New Covent Garden soups are off, so if you need to rush for them for any reason, then I'd go now, tonight!

Oh you are the bearer of bad news tonight Savvy, have been happily stocking up on these with the cereal shops and mocs :(

Big hugs Dip, hopefully you are in the land of nod by now.

Want to get my head around the muller off but too tired tonight to let it sink in. Am I buying ten mullers from A's (paying £3) and then the apg doesn't recognise the multi or is there a trigger flavour I need? TIA

Will have a look at the humidifier link in the morning.
Not sure how one would work with the dehumidifier we have to run to stop the house getting mouldy
    Night all :)

I'll play this soothing track as I'm going to turn in soon.
    All the best, dipdap.

If anyone is really interested in these, as none of them are too great:

M Petit Pains Bake At Home (6). 99p and 100 "More" points. Vs A 2 for £1. However, still works out at 40p each, even assuming it matches A's mbuy, and having to buy more than one:(. Why not stick with whoopsies?

M Kiwi pack (6) 99p 150 "More". Vs A at 75p (Aldi 74p?). Still works out more expensive than M's best offer (very brief 99p bogo'f' sometime last year).

M Ground Almonds (150g) £1.75 250 "More". Vs A. Still way too dear, for such low weight of product:(, even after More points and even if it compares to A:eek:.

M Sauvignon Blanc (2.25L) £11.99 500 "More". Buy in 2s:( vs A 2 for £20:eek:. Even though, apparently, this is cheaper even on M's price than £4 per 75cl.

Seeing you buying so much more in order to make a 'saving':(. Anyway, even sub-£4 prices on 75cl are too dear, given that I reckon it costs them about a pound to make a 75cl bottle of wine. So, anything in excess of that is really giving them money and not saving anything in your pocket (or purse or wallet etc.).

I'd avoid all the above! Poor offers IMO, even if the More points, which can only be put against products that you get from them and never actually see any money from them, and further tying up of points with them, to be given to them at the end of the day even in return for other products (but committed to paying M, in the points, for them) by overpayment compared to shopping at the cheaper store.

    Sorry :o it's just how I tick :o :rotfl:

Are you drunk tonight?;):D It's just a turn of phrase by them - I've never actually been consulted or told them that I liked the ones supposedly "Chosen by" me in the first place: it was an attempt to improve the standard range product offering, which was seen as lacking in A compared to the competition, but, again, it's just marketing that works on the normal people apparently. I simply label it "CBY" to identify the product I'm referring to: how else am I supposed to refer to it?!?:rotfl:

To me, it's just standard own brand pork sausages. However, better IMO than the Value range ones - those that I saw in T ages ago looked really nasty: they were 59p 'everywhere' but price on those has crept up and now M 66p. However, this is one case where I don't trade down as I think the "Value" ranges are horrid; therefore I would prefer the standard range own brand vs I hope 79p. If that works, it would be better priced than the Wall's - I can't see why anyone would need to have expensive branded sausages!

That said... story from M number 1: Despite the own brand pork sausages being labelled at 79p on the shelf - I still had a shopper come past me whilst I was checking that - and she was talking to her friend (I presume) and only ever wanted the expensive "NUME" sausages that were away from any offers. Why would anyone pay more for that? Again, it's this image - "New Me:(" - that plays on people's emotions and that they fall for and are willing to pay more for. The "NUME" ones are the "Low Fat" sausages. Yet - and I know nothing about anything and have not checked or looked at the fat content in any of the sausages, whether "NUME" or "standard", but I wouldn't put it past them for the standard ones to turn out to contain less fat than the "NUME" ones. What are the "NUME" ones comparing themselves? Lower fat than what? Is it necessarily the same M own brand range or maybe it's some higher fat one that M has than isn't the "normal" own brand one (i.e. the ones that are now on 79p)? I've no idea - and I say "normal" but, to her, the "NUME" ones seemed to be the normal:(.

Story from M number 2. Remember the Unwashed Potatoes? Still on excellent £2 for 12.5Kg. Someone felt that was way too big and would never get through that. However, I saw someone else's trolley in M and they had three of these sacks!:eek: They must have a really big family and get through tonnes! Either that or they are buying potatoes for trade - how could they possibly store that many and ensure they didn't go off?

I'm sorry - I don't set the prices, I merely report what I find! Best do all your soup shops before the prices very likely change on the APG this morning. 50p Frijjs off too:( - some others now on 65p, but not very good, and 10% off 50p on the 'standard' ones wasn't any good anyway.

Savvy, Could you please tell me what the NCG Soup offer/glitch is and who against?

I will search but for some reason MSE Search does not like me

Found it on P9, looks like it was just a good price rather than a glitch

    TIA

BTW: That baileys shop was yesterday £20A £12T

Still waiting for the APG evouchers to be credited... fingers crossed

Morries UHT Skimmed/Semi Skimmed Milk 6x1L packs £4.75 vs £3 A, with 200:( "More" points. Hardly any good. Still works out more expensive per 1L carton, even after the 20p:(, than 10% off 49p on S/P UHT vs M.
