Good morning all.
So far we have a beautiful blue sky and the sun is clearly visible. However, I'm at work so will only be able to pop out for a couple of minutes to, hopefully, view the eclispe. I have no eclipse specs so will try and take a photo on my phone (whithout looking directly at the sun of course!) My boss is happy to let me go and look (we're the only two in the office) - he says "I've seen one" !! I've seen one too (1999) but don't think I'd ever get tired of watching something so amazing. The amazing part to me is that we have the science to predict so accurately.
Have a great day everyone.“Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while you could miss it.” ~ Ferris Bueller0 -

MorningHas anyone on here tried foam rolling before? I tried it properly for the first time after my yoga and it was really painful. I'm told it gets easier but rolling out my shins.....*ouch*
I've got a knobbly oneIT band
Painting today, last time was wet on wet watercolour - mine looked fantastic..... from a distance while squinting your eyes :rotfl: Wonder what awaits us today.Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.

well am up and ready for the show and so far we have a very beautiful glue sky and it looks glorious out there.
inappropriate virtual hugs to everyone who is in need - I've felt a bit low this week from about Wednesday onwards, no rhyme or reason for it.
So I thought if I was getting a cold I would fight it off, keep very busy and get as much done as possible, if I didn't pander to it, it the cold would just give up and go away. So that is what I am doing with this creeping misery - I don't have time for it and I am not letting it take over“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

Good morning all, rather grey here again
Guess I will be missing nothing whilst working this morning! Could still strangle OH though, at least if I had been at home I could have watched Stargazing live!
So glad that there are other people like me :j I can swim, got my badges at school and all that :rotfl:, but terrified of water on my face or more specifically in my eyes. Even in the shower, I can't do that TS!!! The water, even in the shower stings my eyesI could swim underwater across the pool when at school, but only because I couldn't come back up until I could grab the rail and wipe my eyes before opening them
This sounds scarily like me! When I eventually learned to swim at school I was swimming underwater retrieving things like a good un! Now I have gone as far as to get prescription goggles to avoid getting the water in my eyes, and I have a prescription mask for snorkling, but that is just so I can actually see what is going on! The last time I got water in my eyes was when we were climbing Dunns Falls in Jamaica, that was fine, but I still can't stand the thought of it!What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
If anyone missed it Groupon have extended their sale for another 24 hours, when you log on - go via Topcashback of course, 10% off local deals and 15% off travel I think.
On the webpage and you will see a banner with a code for local deals and travel - when I was skimming through earlier in the week I noticed some good ideas for days out eg hawkstone park, a sealife centre in Anglesey, a lama place somewhere in the midlands ...
I am going to have a proper look later after I get this tedious domestic admin done“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0
