right as today is the wet day we have all been dreading today is the day for stash sorting :( but it will feel better when I know what I have and where and its all looking neat and tidy.

firstly presents to wrap and cats to feed for the third time this morning - when its wet and they are bored, all they do is eat, if I put out too much someone will be sick and make a mess, if I don't put out enough one cat will be bullied and not get any ...

    back later ...

well that was weird. I was in the kitchen and I heard banging so naturally I went to open the back door and Ronnie the cat was waiting admittance - he does try and break the door down to get in if someone is not standing by the door the second he gets back
But also at the same time it was the postie knocking at the front door so I was opening the wrong door :rotfl:

postie had 2 signed for jiffy bag both soaking wet. One was from eldest child with her Dads birthday card and a little pack of Hotel chocolate truffles - so I am drying the card out and I will have to wrap the chocs as they came naked.
she also sent me a Mothers day card but first class and separately - I don't know why they could not go in the same jiffy bag. the jiffy cost £6.20 so that's nearly £7 in postage
when she came up in January it was only a fiver for the train fare from Euston.

anyway the main thing is that she has not forgetten her dad :D

Blimey! Probably worth introducing DD to MyHermes. She could have sent it all in any old box for less than three quid (providing she has access to a printer.) and included a dry, big box of chocs!

But I'm loving a cat who knocks at the door. :rotfl:

Fourp has texted :j:j he still loves me :o:o & looking forward to seeing me ♥

Mojo back - most things done, bar sandwiches & towels change

Lovely couple are house sitting so I can go off knowing the cats will be looked after.

I've covered front door & shoe cupboard with silver foil as last attempt at stopping the spraying.
Surgical spirit did not work & dried my hands out :o:o

Hopefully you can both enjoy a little less stress from now on. :)

Is anyone else having problems with TCB this morning? The app and website seem to be down.

Morning PD, yep TCB "down for maintainance" so it says. I was going to ask a TCB question...It says I have £13 odd payable but when I click payout it says £7.90. Do they normally take fees? TIA

Edit: Just seen the fees on my profile - £6.87 :( Obviously means site working again now :rotfl:

I think they take a £5 a year for some sort of plus membership. I don't use them that much to be honest :o

you know you are right - even with the extra bit for "signed for" myhermes would have been so much cheaper - and she knows how fast they deliver things as I sent her a box on a Saturday afternoon and it arrived on Monday morning.

I think she has used special deliver - signed for before one  - possibly only sent yesterday

actually if she really thought laterally all she would have needed to do was to go to Euston, find one of OHs train company trains and given the packet to one of the train conductors with instructions to drop it off at OHs office or give it to the platform staff at our station to drop off at the office - now that would really have been fabulous :)

Yes, both our cats try and break doors down to get in - Treacle has been broken into the boys bedroom - I found the door wide open and he was curled up on a pillow - swiftly booted out again - cats are barred from guest bedrooms :D
