I received some news about my German friend last night, her cancer has metastasized pretty much everywhere in her body and she also has a brain tumour now. As they moved her to hospital her spine cracked as well
I'm so sorry to hear that purpledonkey, thats so sad. Its such an indiscriminate, cruel disease.
I think maybe because she has been so well it has lulled us into a false sense of security a little. I was convinced it would be good news today. I guess the fact she has seemed so well even through the chemo is that maybe it hasn't been doing what its been meant to be doing.
Anyway, onwards and upwards. We are going away the week after next, a couple of girlie days up north, so really looking forward to that. We will eat lots of cake (screw the diet!), gossip, mooch around and generally have fun and not talk about cancer nor let it get us down.0 -
