Just seen that Sir Terry Pratchett has passed away.

    Speechless.

So much pleasure reading his books, even met him at a book signing once.

Getting the new Discworld novel was an annual treat. I know it is not completely unexpected, but still shocked.

I just hope that He has some unpublished bits still to come, and there has always been talk of of his very talented daughter writing some too.

    His sandtimer finally ran out....

    Good afternoon all

    What a bittersweet day.
Sad news from snap ant & fourp and Emerald (hugs to all)

Great news on Quidco bonus paying out (me too :) )

Then Terry goes rampaging off to Discworld without us. I hope he got to ride Blinky and the luggage is following him to his resting place. RIP to a man who brightened my dark times without ever knowing me.

I know what you mean. I also got a tax refund this week which was more than I was expecting, it's covered a lot of bills in the nick of time. This bonus is going on a tank of petrol (just before my 10p a ltr off expires) and baking ingredients (I'm making 2 cakes next week) :j

I know it's trivial, but I'm quite relieved.

PD I've made you my cake idol :D
I'm addicted to baking now :o I've made 4 batches of those balloon cupcakes and everybody loves them
The kids keep taking them in their packed lunches and I took some to work, I've had 3 people ask me to make cakes for their birthdays
I've no idea why people think I'd be an good :(

I am first to applaud ppl like you who are trying their best and only hope that these ppl can be identified.although crufts is nowhere same, I feel strongly that this sort of competition does the canine world no good and ends up glorifing all the bad practise of interbreeding defects in search of perceived perfection.dogs have no voice to protest and my heart breaks when they are ill treated in any way, because they are so trusting and only want to be a companion.they do so much good, as aid dogs, etc.a person must have a cold heart not to be moved by a dog wagging their tail on your return or looking into your eyes to understand when you are upset.keep up your good work.:A

Your cakes looked brilliant, creative and om-nom-nom-nomable (not a word I know :p). Keep making them! If you saw the cakes I made at uni, you'd laugh :)

I've been decorating.Look who's made a bed of my decorating sheets.

What a little darling, bless. They love somewhere soft and comfortable to lay. Stan's spot is on DH's big leather chair in the study. He likes it there as he gets the heat from the rad behind him, through the window when the sun's out and from the PC when it's turned on. If we need anything on the PC (DH has his accounts package on there) we have to kneel on the floor rather than disturb the cat :rotfl:

Oh dear. Mine hasn't gone payable. I should have at least £25. Anyone in the same boat as me or am I the odd one out? Don't let me down Quidco!

I was never aiming at £50 but I did spend £42 with Group on so did spend an additional £8 at 8 other retailers to aim for £25

Noticed Bon Marche rejected my cashback. Only spent 40p and that was because it was 50p but I used a discount code on their homepage. As it was not on Quidco site I had forgotten the rule about codes used not on Quidco, so that took me to 8 retailers instead of 9.

Lesson learned as saving 10p has cost me £25 - £6 (have got £6 paid out assume that was the figure for 6 retailers)
    The end is nigh
