Temp to Perm - Continuous Service Start Date

Quick question on the start date for my employment with my current employer:

I started work with them on a 3 month temp to perm basis on 9th May 2013. This overran and I was essentially a temp for almost a year.

I barely had a day off except for the odd day and Xmas week in 2013 until I was made permanent on the 24th March 2014.

I just had a quick look at my work contract and it states:

Your date of continuous service with ******** Ltd or its subsidiaries is 24th March 2014.

Is that correct or should I request with HR that it be amended to my start date when I was taken on as a temp?

If you were employed by the company I believe it is continuous if you were employed and paid via an agency then you only become a member of the companies staff when you went perm.

Were you employed by the company itself? PAYE? Or were you an agency temp?
' <-- See that? It's called an apostrophe. It does not mean "hey, look out, here comes an S".
