Joint account and deposit

Hi all, couple of points to iron out if you can help.
Basically I have the bad credit. No defaults now but have a CCJ that goes this July. Late payments over 5 years ago and PDLs, last one 3 years ago.
Wifes credit is the best it can be but as we want to relocate back home (NE) her wage can't be used as she will have to give her work up.
Anyway I earn the most 27k and it looks like I will have to get the mortgage on my own, if I can with the shambles of CR.
However as we are newly married(2years) We are wanting a joint account.
How will this effect application if she cant be included?
She also has 90% of our saved deposit in her savings, if we joined accounts and we go to one savings account how would it work if I had to prove I had a deposit, but its a solo application?
I not that good of getting my point over but hope someone gets the jist of what im getting at.
Also I read today about PDLs, someone said any one taken out over 36 months ago are not taking into account!?! Is this true??
Also them Late Payments over 5 years ago...will these stump me to?
I have asked this before, just want to here some success stories if there are any out there. I have seen some good one with regards to PDLS.
TIA

Dont do any credit checks until your mortgage completes, its just not worth it.
PDLs varies from lender to lender, some say none in 6 years, others say they do not care and most lie somewhere in the middle.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Thank you.... my wife is pushing for joint account.
I will probably wait as long as possible.
ACG Im gonna put you on the spot!!
Do you think things will get even more relaxed in the next year or so in terms of lending?0 -
Any credit searches risk impacting on a mortgage offer. So you could find you end up with a joint account but no mortgage - hold fire until completion.
Rates are as low as they are going to get according to someone high up at virgin money last week and lenders have bags of cash to lend so I imagine there has to be some give somewhere.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
