"Buy me, Lady", said the frock, "and I will make you into a BEAUTIFUL & WHOLE & COMPLETE human being".
"Do not be silly", said the Man, "for a frock alone cannot do that".
"True", said the Lady, "I will have the shoes and the bag as well".

  • hi all!

I'm a HB and SB virgin. Managed to get my hands on some booklets at a store today (not my usual so stocked up!)

I understand about the BOGOF option but I've noticed there are a lot of half rpice offers - I take it that doesn't work the same as it goes through the till at the reduced price rather than taking it off at the end?

a wee bit confused still but i'll give it a shot tomorrow morning.

what is some of the best offers people have been using?
I miss using my infinite coupons at Tesco!
2010 was the worst year ever :(
But 2011 so far has been a lot of fun! :j

    Hello & welcome...

You are correct.. The half price offers dont work in the same way as bogofs, so for less outlay you are better off sticking to the the bogofs..

The olay stuff is on offer at 2 for £6.00 but the thermal polisher costs £7.49.. So 4 of those the till would see £29.96.. add a bar of soap or something to get total over £30 & you'd pay just over £12 & get 750pts...

I'm still unsure of the resale value of the olay stuff & cw so sticking to the cheap basics...

If I find any more SB tomorrow I will do this simple combo & purchase a few NOTW's with the £5.00 off £30 spend in..

    Lynx Shower Gel x 14 @ £1.75 = £24.50
    Right Guard APD x 10 @ £2.33 = £23.30
    Imperial Leather Shower Gel x 10 @ £1.24 = £12.40

    Till sees £60.20
    Actual cost £30.10

    Use NOTW coupon + a few other mocs & 6 x 250pts = £60 deals...

Just watch the prices of the products you pick up as different fragrances are a few pennies in difference...

These actually appeared in store here.. and straight away - most unheard of. Possibly cos they were too pants to appeal to staff?

The leaflet has already been withdrawn due to a price error shown for Calpol, but they are really not anything to be excited about....

  • well I've just had my first ever HB shop!

    yey!

    I got 3x collection 2000 make up (3 for 2) as there was an eyeliner and shadow I had wanted for ages. 3 x 2.99 = 8.97
plus a mouthwash (half price that was needed) 1.50

    SO total was 10.47

    but less the 2.99 (3 for 2) was 7.49 for 260 points

    then on my second shop

shower gel (that was needed) 97p
    Charles worthington mousse 4.44
    right guard deodorant 2 x 2.33 (BOGOF)

    spend 10.08
actual spend 7.75 for 360 points

not bad for my first spend and i will use everything i bought!
I miss using my infinite coupons at Tesco!
2010 was the worst year ever :(
But 2011 so far has been a lot of fun! :j
