That sounds like the best offer i've had all night Leadhead, there is a serious lack of interesting stuff at the moment, although i must say the mums choice booklets and high value printable MOC's have eased my boredom.

Ok...I'll not talk about all the fish i caught.......or even all the fish i didnt catch......for that matter......just takes a while to wash all my bits.....

Got to my destination fairly early this morning, but got word that the lads would be late.....so decided to set my gear up, and leave it and ...............yes, you guessed...to drive the 12 miles to Tescos for 8am opening...

This Tescos had all three items (points wise) that i wanted...Value nappies, value wipes and nappy sacks....Picked up 10 nappies, 5 wipes and 5 nappy sacks, picked on a young student, who looked as though he'd forgoton to wake up...items sailed through, as did points...used 6 mocs, and ended up paying aound £1.20 for my £17 of "baby stuff" and collected 3000 points.....not a bad start to the day..£120 in deals.....

As its a store away from home..i dont mind a bit confrontation, so decide to go in and try for Andrex(off the 75% off leaflet)..even though i knew it was the wrong Andrex, and the coupons wouldnt scan(thats why i ony did Andrex, and not the other 75% off items)..........sure enoughh, i was correct....ended up with 4 employees around me, and the decision was...the 49p on the Andrex coupon, was the amount it took off the price, not the price i should be charged, and even though the Andrex had gone through the till, someone deemed i could only have one anyway(not 6)...and the duty manager had confirmed this, i told them they were wong, but as i didnt have a complete leaflet with me, to show them it was 75% off, i couldnt prove what the coupon meant...so left with nothing...

On the way out, decided to text my Coupon Queen, told her the problem, got a two word text back..........No not that, you rude people......she simply said...."show barcode"

Turned straight round, and noticed my toilet rolls and the 4 muskateers standing at CS talking about me and my coupons....They went quiet as i approached....I asked them..."I'm not trying to be clever, or get one over on you, but can any of you understand the numbers on a barcode", they all looked dumb, one said..."no, but the till can"....I requested to see the manager who had ruled on my "toilet rolls"

Expecting some old sour faced dragon, was quite surprised to be greeted with a lovely smile, and an out stretched hand for me to shake...Must admit that the niceness knocked me off guard a bit....but i explained the situation(didnt say that i knew they were the wrong ones ), and politely asked her if she could read a barcode, and proceeded to tell her about the last 4 digits, the last one being a check digit, and the 3 before that (147)being the value of the coupon(i was myself in retail, was the reason i knew this...lol)...

She asked what happened at the till and i told her it just wouldnt scan..she went and tried amd came back to CS, scanned it there and lo and behold it was accepted...(this happened last week with the DtDed gas stoves as well)...anyway she took £1.47 out of the till and gave me it as gesture of good will......"but its the toilet rolls i would like please".......she must have forgotton that she told her minion, only one coupon could be accepted, so she put the 6 rolls though, put the 6 coupons through, and charged me £2.52...they went through at 42p each...the rolls being £1.89 on the sel. So after getting the £1.47 back i didnt dare ask if she'd take a £2 Huggies coupon with it, so accepted my deal, she thanked me for drawing this to her attention......I asked if i could get some more..."tomorrow she said"...so i made my way back to join the lads for a cup of tea....

Left the reservoir just before dark, and decided to call into another T on the way home...did another 3000 point nappy shop(on a different card)....and on the way out spotted Carlsbeg at half price(looked like an an error,so thought of DtD)......dont drink it myself, but know someone that does....Never tried this store before, but picked the half asleep dyed blonde..... Handed her my Carlsberg...it was £6.49, and gave her a £5 moc and a cat food Moc...thats 19pence she said....ooo i said i think i'll have another one of those...but had to pay 39p for the next one...not bad, 36 cans for 58p.....

So all in all a good day.....pity about the fish though!!!

Thanks to kronen, for being so alert at just after 8am on a Monday morning....

Went out this morning with the sole intent of Using my Carte d'or Coupons and getting some free Tropicana with the glitch...it worked....better than i hoped...

Decided that i didnt want loads of Vanilla Carte d'or....so got to the till with 2 seperate transactions of 6 of each...put 1 vanilla ice cream on the belt,......(really had 3 different flavours in trolly).... one Tropicana and a packet of hot cross buns(now only 36p...as Asda was selling them for 38p) told her i had 6,6 and 1, ......did this again for other lot...but as she was little(no offence to little people) and couldnt see into my trolly........she scanned my goods, 6, 6 and 1,then the coupons and it came to 18 pence(i think it was)....for the first lot.....but something went wrong with the second lot...I think she either missed something, or scanned the coupons in the wrong order, as she gave me a Carte d'or coupon back and said £2.10p please.............quickly before i nearly passed out I managed to hand over a £2 Huggies...............dohhhh.....nearly lost my pocket money for the week there.... Just phoned a few friends with kids who will take the fries, bread and drummers off me...............off to do a nappy points spend now.....

Always look onthe bright side of life........

Its the Carte d'or glitch, its on bogof, so using two coupons gives you £1.41 off the rest of your shopping...

    £2.79 + £2.79 -bogof-£2.10 -£2.10 = - £1.41 = 2 Tropicana( after coupons) +3p

Last year, some of us...and one excellent "couponer" in particular (*K*) had around 12 x 0p shops in a row...and has the receipts to prove it...in fact i posted a receipt of around £120 down to 18p...(i think it was)...
