u left the plax, what about the coupons? did u handover them as well? that is never heard of before, do we logically have the right to keep those coupons? they cannot just confisticate like that, can they?

Yes I handed over the coupons when my shop had been totalled the SA handed them to the Superivisor who then handed them to the Manager.

It does say on the back of the coupon's that they remain they Tesco's property.

Not accepting the coupons is one thing but confiscating them was a step too far.

I will be calling Customer Service to complain.

I think so, Im sure they say on the back that they remain property of Tesco.

It does say that, but i dont think that entitles them to confiscate them from anyone.

Theres no policy that says you cant own more than one, or 500 for that sake.

A coupon used within the TandC's of the issuer is a legal tender and is as valuable as cash when used correctly.

So (imho) they had no valid reason to confiscate these.

But it also says one per transaction, so using 10 in one go would be against the T&Cs, in which case they could argue it and rightly confiscate them. Obviously I personally don't agree with it, I'd hate to have my coupons taken (especially my £1.25s I haven't got many) I just think they do have the right to it. And as I said its much better to stick to small shops so as not to draw attention to yourself.

I found poundland good for toothbrushes last year when doing the shoe boxes. Got packs of individually packaged dinosaur brushes. Think you got 5 or 6 for a pound.

I can accept i may have been misinformed(although i'm not the only person on here to say this about the BC) .but i disagree with your "random" quote.

Surely if it was random, then they would show in most stores at least once a year.

Unless there is another qualification needed, like being an "Extra", or having a "pharmacy counter".

I know of 5 stores in my area which havent had any of these this year!!!

Funnily enough these stores are brilliant at accepting multiple coupons, multiple times
my store has a pharmacy so we always have them, but i have seen them in store that don't have a pharmacy and are not an extra.
tesco are often random with the policies as anyone can tell you!
