Nhs pay dates

I'm starting a new nhs admin job on the 23rd potentially. I'm worried about pay. Do the nhs run a month behind as if I have to wait two months for pay I will struggle. Also what date do nhs pays me.

If you start work on 23rd March, I'd expect you to get your first pay at the end of April. The date you get paid will depend on your trust the majority are the last working day of the month but I know of others that pay on a specific date such as 25th.

Sorry if that's not the answer you wanted. Best of luck in your new job though

YOu will need to check the pay period and pay date.

I think most are poay period calander month pay somewhere near the end,

there will be a cut off for OT and enhanced rates which may be different to the pay period.

There is a good chance it will be online for the trust you are working at.

I get paid on the 23rd and my OH on the 26th, each trust has it's own dates so best ring HR and ask.

When I started on the 11th of Nov (a few years ago), I got paid for part of the month on the 21st Nov.
