£445 is a lot of money to find on payday.

yes, and then, potentially at the end of next month could need another one as has used up this months wages early.....and so the cycle begins unfortunately.

Although generally it is not an ideal thing to do, drawing out cash on your credit card would be better than a PDL.
I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.
  • I have used wonga a couple of times about three years ago & found them to be fine, but then I paid it back on the agreed date if not before. Where people get into trouble is if they don't have the means to repay the loan on the agreed date, the simple thing is not to max yourself out and as with anything only borrow what you can afford.

    Savings.

    Brilliant concept.

Problems are solved for the saver. They become an expensive crisis for others.

I thought this board was meant to be non judgemental and offer practical advice on the matter under discussion?

We can all make sanctimonious comments about having savings, not going to help the OP now though is it.

The short term solution gas been discussed.

Is it wrong to identify the long term solution?

No it definitely isn't wrong. But doing it in a slightly less acerbic tone will probably make the OP feel more welcome. It is their first post on here, They even have a sticky asking us to be super nice to them.

Kill em with love peaceful, kill em with love.

Never, ever use Wonga or any PDL service. It will harm your credit file and prevent you getting credit in the future.

I agree. I have seen too many posts (and been on the receiving end of them myself when new on here) that put people off using this forum.

Be nice. It doesn't take a lot of effort. Just read back what you have written and look at the tone of your comment. Would you say it to someone's face? Would you like it if someone said it to you in that way? Whilst some people may not necessarily like the answers they get to their questions there is no need to be condescending, rude or unhelpful. I think some people post even if they have nothing constructive to add.

Manners cost nothing as my mother always says.... :)
  • This finance is hassle free when you keep to paying like everything in life I guess, in fact I based Sunny's easy repayments to all creditors of the same amount, just, to keep it fair when needs must :):) of course I didn't borrow more then I could commit to

Be surprised you'd get a loan first off with the amount of SM posts from people who can't get funded that Wonga just seem to ignore, says it all really, so I think they are even more selective in who they do chose now to lend too, lots of folk are now declined for payday loans unless you didn't know that OP as there is a difference between that and short term loans, in my experience it's better to pay over a longer time, but then I am just one up if not on par with someone perhaps on benefits full time but least I know it :p forget savings when you can't, but chose your lender wisely! ;)

Blimey when I think my e-on bill is actually more then the old style payday loans month's interest and that's saying a lot, it certainly puts into prospective where it has gone wrong! there, the payday lenders aren't really the bad guys in all this, the energy dudes can probably get you paying someone else's debt much easier and well, perhaps, affect your credit file oh in the same manner, no?
:p sorry for going off on a tangent!
