    Timelines shown are an average.

Many cases will zip through and pull down the average on the ones that get stuck.

The timelines are of no value to you if you have one of the 'stuck' cases.

  • I recently applied for a mortgage through a broker- it was suggested that Santander were one of the ones with a longer processing time- around 8 weeks- though I have heard of some people waiting more like 12 weeks for a response. Don't know if that helps?
  • Hi,

Ive got my mortgage offer through santander and used a broker

    10/2 - application submitted
11/2 - mortgage offered subject to valuation
    18/2 - valuation
    19/2 - full mortgage offer.

very quick with me and I expected it to take around 4 weeks.

if it via a broker on the MATS system they are updated via email every time it progresses to the next stage.

I have just had an email from my broker saying the my Abbey/Santander has just been offered today.

I applied on 20/02 so effectively two weeks. However, my valuation was delayed by 1 week! So could have been quicker.

Ask your broker if hes using the MATS system. If he is he should know where it is. It lists what stage it is at and puts a tick next to each section when complete.

Just had an update from my broker that our mortgage application has been approved and offer has been sent out.

No valuation carried out. Advised by broker that santader carried out desktop valuation.

    So here is my timeline..

DIP and full application submitted on 27/02/2015

    application approved today on 06/03/2015

so in real 5 working days ...that was really quick
now waiting for offer to arrive.

Many thanks to everyone for there advice and support
