Solar - Comparative Data

Hi

Is there anywhere that aggregates solar generation data?

The reason I ask is that I want to compare the performance of my panels which were new in August against others. I have a tree that shades during winter and I have no idea what impact this is having vs general climate impacts.

Thanks
mavii

I'd suggest you look at the PVGIS forecast for your system. You'll see reference(s) to that site if you look at our FAQ topic ( https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3872445 )

You could try looking at our 'talk about my generation' page and see if you can find a similar system nearby - but that might set you off on the wrong track because very few people include an accurate description of their system in their postings and trying to compare your system with one that's facing in a different compass direction or at a different inclination will just add opportunities for confusion.

    Hi

Follow the link in Eric's post, plus you'll find loads of systems to compare yours to on PVOutput ... ( http://pvoutput.org/ ) ... there's probably some in your vicinity with similar orientations ..

From Bing Maps a horrible shadow on my south roof from the east.

    From Google Maps more shadowing.

The two tall trees to the east are spoiling morning generation.

    That's why I have microinverters.

Of dear. You are quite correct. And I've noticed my spelling mistake. Bad day.

    I had better edit.
