Certificate of completion...

Hiya guys
It's been a while since I was last on here so forgive me if this has been recently referred to...

I've been told I will receive (or should ask for) a Certificate of Completion of my Bankruptcy, six years after my BR (ie 19th May 2015), from the county court which handled my case.

Does anyone else have one? What does it do? Should I send copies of it to my creditors or the credit reference agencies to clean up my credit rating? Any help and advice would be gratefully rec'd.

Incidentally, it's great to see so many old names still helping newbies through the whole BR process. Brilliant selfless work guys, thank you!

Cheers

Kevin

    Not heard of that one...!

Did you receive Automatic Discharge 12 months after the date of petition?

    Or, was your Discharge suspended?

Once Discharged, one is no longer 'bankrupt'...

The '6-year' thing refers to how long a bankruptcy, CCJ, or default remains on view in one's credit records, generated by the 3 credit reference agencies.

If one needs to provide 'proof' of Discharge [and one failed to print off the Insolvency Service website records before they disappeared , after 3 months].....then one can either contact one's OR's office, and ask for written proof [generally costs nothing to do]....or one can contact the Court where the Petition was granted, to provide written proof of Discharge...but generally, this costs quite a lot.
No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......
