Mortgages and CCJs

I have a CCJ from 2012 which I fully satisfied last year. Unfortunately it's still going to be on my credit record until 6 months after I turn 40 and I'd like to get a mortgage before then. I know some lenders will consider borrowers with CCJs but I'm seeing a lot of information like "Barclays would also consider someone with a satisfied CCJ although it must not be within the past three years."

Does that mean the CCJ can't have been *issued* in the last 3 years or you have to have *satisfied* it more than 3 years ago?

Does anyone have experience with a mortgage application with a satisfied CCJ? How much difference did it make to your repayments and were you able to find a mortgage with a suitable option to switch to a 'normal' mortgage when your CCJ expired?

Thanks

A possible but unlikely source for this type of lending.

From what we see anything on your file has to be very minor for Barclays to consider it - certainly under £200.

Thanks but I'm not specifically asking about Barclays — I've seen similar statements about many other lenders.

Yes, your case is placeable but you should use a broker.
