Clean up after bankruptcy query

Some of my debts were passed on from original lender, like MBNA to Aktiv Kapital or from Bank of Scot to Arrow Global. I was Discharged from BR Oct 2014. On current Experian credit report the above debts are still showing as actual amounts not as 'satisfied' or 'partial'. So my question is do I write to each of the lenders, that being the ORIGINAL lender AND the subsequent DEBT RECOVERY AGENTS or do I just write to the ORIGINAL lender (as per Fermi's letter - Letter To Former Lenders Post Bankruptcy shown in the sticky) & tell them to update which will then filter down to the AGENTS ? Thanks

Hi,
I am in exactly the same position. I have written the letters to the Lenders named on my credit file. Capital One may have sold the debt or passed it in to a debt collection agency, but if it says my account is with Capital One, then that is who I will write to. It is against the Data Protection Act to have incorerct data stored online about someone, so it is in Capital One's best interest to get their act together.
It was the same with Sainsbury's Bank. I wrote to them, using the templates on this forum and have had a grovelling apology and a cheque for £50. Any organisation can be fined if someone reports a breach of the Data Protection Act by the Information Comissioner.
I am a Data Protection Officer for a Government department, so I know what I'm talking about. If companies cannot be bothered to do things to the letter of the law, then I will throw the book at them!
