Hi well done to you for passing your driving test, which as a non driver, think is a great achievement. Please don't beat yourself up about the meals out that time love, as it is only a wee hiccup as others have said. Tomorrow is another clean page, and well done to you also for getting your debts lower. See? Lots to feel great about:) Take careDo a little kindness every day.;)0

My 2 thoughts on reading your post were
- where do you eat out 4 times for 4 people for £50??? I can't remember the last time I went out for dinner that wasn't at least £20 a head if not more! Although usually theres a bottle or three of wine in there
- why do you think you've failed or had a blip or anything??? you've had reason to celebrate, so you did. I see moneysaving and OS as all about being able to do what you want more easily. As Martin says on the front page it's about cutting bills not cutting back. I don't see anything non-OS about going out for dinner once in a while! Granted four times in a week is quite a lot but as a one-off to celebrate something I think it's ok. I wouldn't beat myself up about it at all. As long as you are able to afford something, what's the point in not spending your money how you want to and celebrating your acheivement or treating yourself? I really don't think you've slipped up at all!
We got an impromptu invite to go for dinner last night at a friend's house. I'd planned a meal but just put the fish in the freezer and went out. I don't feel I've failed by not sticking rigidly to my meal plan - I had a lovely evening having dinner with friends, and the fish will wait till next week.0
