"Vitafit" 100% Orange Juice 1L 49p
"Jean Pierre" Croissants pack of 10 ,400g 61p
Baby Plum Tomato 250g 39p
Oranges 1.5kg 74p

Looks to be the same across the whole country. Bit of a boring selection- no meat - but the orange juice is a reasonable price.

Official MoneySavingExpert insert Tue 10 Mar: Lidl has confirmed the orange juice, croissants, plum tomatoes and oranges will be available between 14 Mar - 15 Mar. Big thanks to dlusman for the original spot!

Baby plum toms, great. I will stock up on those and stick them in my new dehydrator.

Dried some yesterday and they are brilliant if you need a sugar hit, without the sugar!

    Well, without the carp sugar.

out of curiosity: how long do you dehydrate the plum toms? do you slice them thinly or in half? any siggestions would be helpful. I have a round westfalia one and I worry it uses too much leccy...

Look at the thread on dehydrators on OS - may well have the answer.

Sorry, not been on here for a few days.

I just cut them in half, lengthways, sit skin side down and dry until no moisture in them at all, at 65 deg for about 12 hours or so.

A tip I saw was to put them in a ziplock bag for a few days. If you see any condensation in the bag, stick them back in to dry for a few hours longer.

I am just learning at the min. :)

I have a smart meter and it shows less than 3p an hour to run, that is for a 550w model, not sure if yours is 350w so would be less.

The meter does turn from green to amber but it is only for about 30 secs if that while the fan kicks in on the the dehydrator.
