Another in an occasional series of posts. Life expectancy at birth wasn't 40 years in any country in 1800.

Now even the poorest country in the world has a life expectancy at birth of more than 40.

The difficulty with Life Expectancy figures is that the mean is dragged down by high rates of deaths in infants. If you could get to adulthood in the past you could actually live quite a long life - way past 40.What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0

You know how to hurt someone!
I would have been born into a huge fortune had my great, great, great, great grandfather not invested the lot in his new venture, started in 1800, called "Son Life" selling life insurance to infants. Free crayon given with every quote.....0
