Mine will charge me £300 and only if he can get the mortgage. I have been looking for a house more than a year, with lots of emails exchanged and havent paid a penny yet.0

That is a ridiculous amount to pay.
Id ask why his charge was so high!
My MA receives £270 from the mortgage provider and I dont pay him anything!

I would be asking my accountant why he is recommending a broker that charges that amount.
