mortgage brokers opinion

Want to buy a property with my husband for 224, 000, we have a 15% deposit. My credit file however is poor to fair, no debt, was in a dmp two years ago. No late payments for two or so years.
We have savings of 45, 000 for the house plus other savings of about 8000 (for a rainy day)
We earn 55, 000
I have a default of five and half years old which was for 1711 but has been settled two yrs ago.
We both have casminder accounts and I have a credit card which shows good history for the last four years.
Do we have a chance of a mortgage?

Yes (a pretty reasonable chance) - not market leading stuff - but reasonable priced on the basis of limited info available.

There are a number of hurdles here but a decent broker with adverse credit experience should be able to navigate them.I am a Mortgage Broker
