I remember learning to knit in school when i was about 7.
I never learnt to cast off though.
Would anyone like to buy a scarf that's 276' long ?

I second revelry, I've found some nice free patterns there. It's also worth looking on pinterest - loads of examples of knitting projects and many have links to free patterns.
