Valuer didn't show. Can broker do anything?

We have an application in with Abbey/Santander. The valuer was meant to show today but didn't come. The house is a new build so the sales exec for the developer was on site waiting. When they didn't show after the time they said they would she rang them and they said they're too busy and don't know when they can come, if at all.
Should I pass this onto the broker to pass onto Abbey? Don't want to get anyone in trouble but would like things moving.
Thanks

The surveyor only has a certain amount of time to do the inspection and get the report back to the lender, otherwise they breach their service level agreement.
Tell broker, although I'd be surprised if the site hasn't already called the broker to moan about it.I am a mortgage broker. Thanks Kingstreet. I will email them now I guess I am paying for all these services so should get what I pay for, rather than being worried about upsetting people.
Does anyone know how long Abbey give surveyors do do their job? Sure they requested the survey last Monday.

Five working days it's supposed to be done and the report back at Abbey/Santander.
BTW a valuation is free, the cost picked up by the lender. Despite that, it should still be done in the agreed timescale...I am a mortgage broker.
