Hi everyone,
In the process of clearing out my dads house and he has a huge attic, plus alongside the upstairs rooms there's large eaves storage spaces.
We are just emptying them all at the moment and have nearly finished with one of the eaves spaces.
It's really dirty and SO dusty, I want to get it cleaned up and put a few of our plastic storage boxes in for now with xmas decs, photos etc
I'm just wondering the best way to start cleaning, if I start dusting I can imagine the dust just flying everywhere...

I'd start with the vacuum, and opening windows if possible.
You need to be getting rid of the dust rather than just shifting it about iyswim
Good luck, sounds like a pain!0 -
You could try dampening the dust then scooping it up with paper towels.Who having known the diamond will concern himself with glass?

The old fashioned way was to sprinkle used tea leaves and they would absorb the dust, everything was swept up in those days but now we have vacuum cleanersBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

I had to do this once - don't forget to wear a shower cap, scarf or mask to cover nose and mouth, glasses with almost plain glass if necessary or goggles! You'll look lovely....0

I would definately dampen the dust, by possibly spraying it with water, otherwise it will just keep rising and landing down again. then you can brush or preferably hoover it. Wipe everything with a damp cloth, not dry. Good luck.0
