Kenwood chef - got to be comng 50 years now and my Nan's roasting tins that are even older and still as shiny as the day they were bought. In fact cleaning the cupboards today I found one stuck away which wasn't pristine and spent 20 minutes putting the shine back on it
Modern, I have a steam press that's 20 years old and still going great guns0 -
My original hand mixer, bought in about the late sixties and still used at least once a week. My Nan's tablespoons, rolling pin, mantel clock and long case clock dating from mid nineteenth century.
When I married in the mid sixties I was the lucky recipient of 29 Pyrex casseroles. I think there are still a few of those knocking around.
I love using things that I remember seeing my grandmothers and mother using. I'm not sure that the next couple of generations will have such tender memories.

My new world 33 cooker which dates from the early 1960's, so it is over 50 years old.
It was donated to me by a friend's elderly aunt when I helped her move house 15 years ago. She had used it on a daily basis since new, as do I now.
Sometimes I think about all the hot dinners, birthday cakes, christmas dinners etc that must have been cooked on it over the years!
I love using it, it is very reliable, the oven heats evenly, and the enamel is great. I would be gutted if I had to replace it. It's very well made and of far superior quality to anything I could buy now0 -
The 'House Elf': she's been with me 30+ years and still going strong, though a tad noisy betimes.0

Be warned fellow posters, this thread is jinxed:eek: blades dropped off one side of fan axle today, hopefully a 10 minute job with a screwdriver, but still - I do wonder if the heater read my earlier post and decided it was getting on a bit?

Monnagran, I have 3 1969 engagement gift (didn’t get any for wedding gifts) pyrex casseroles in regular use. The pattern has vanished completely from one, lol. Several others have met with a sad end.Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400

I have a Bosch fridge freezer which is 27 years old. Will be very sad when it finally gives up the ghost as the new ones seem to be a lot smaller and a lot more expensive!0

Electrical: hand-held food mixer, which originally belonged to Mr LW's gran, and is definitely over 60 years old. Last used yesterday, to make choccie mousse.;)
Non-electrical: again, belonged to Mr LW's gran - the jam "cauldron" which is even older than the mixed detailed above, and has seen much use in it's time, for cooking stews when Mr LW's dad was little (there were 4 boys in the family) - we still use it for jam-making now.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
I have a huge pot that used to be my grandparents. It originally had steamer trays for inside but when my parents inherited it my mum threw the inside bits away! My mum said it's so old she thinks my dad's nappies were boiled in it lol - he was born in 1931. I also have another pot that is a bit smaller and was a wedding present in 1958 when my parents were married.0
