Upright freezer in garage 35 years old . Praying it doesn't pack up because modern freezers don,t operate properly in cold outdoor buildings like garages where the temperatures drop below a certain point.
My electric sewing machine, although rarely used now is 52 years old. And I have my grandmother!s cast iron preserving pan which weighs a tonne, almost covers all four burners on the gas hob and must be over 100 years old. The inside enamel was badly chipped and a few years ago I was lucky enough to find a foundry who re-enamelled it for only £10 simply foe the pleasure of working on this work of art!0 -
We are still using a microwave daily, that was a Christmas present in 1994 made by sharpSealed pot challenge member 4370

Manufacturers don't make any money out of appliances which last for years. The cynic in me makes me wonder if they don't deliberately use materials and parts which have built in obsolescence in them to ensure this doesn't happen. Everything has been "re-engineered" within an inch of its life to cut costs so it's hardly surprising nothing lasts long these days.0

My sewing machine. It's a Singer 401A from around 1956. The tension is a bit wonky unless I feed the thread around the stitch length knob, but it's still going, and it still has the manual and stitch/embroidery cams. It's identical to this one, and in about the same condition

Mine is a slow cooker bought for a wedding gift in 1992 . I use it all the time - the toaster and hand whisk died after about 10 yrs0

my microwave was from my grandparents house - the 3 year old one we had started exploding plates and bowls!! so i inherited my grandparents microwave as my grandad died days after our microwave went feral!! it must be 28 years old - i would love to replace it with somthing smaller and easier to clean - but am loathed to do so as it still works (and it would take 2 people to move it).Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"0

OH tells me that the freezer in the garage is about 15 or 16 years old but it's being replaced next week. Otherwise the oldest appliance we have is my five year old Toshiba Satellite laptop. OH used to have loads of old stuff but since I moved in its all been replaced.*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200
