Let It Fly – Pack Your Bag Competition Terms and Conditions

“Promoter”: Virgin Atlantic Airways Limited, Registered Office: The Office, Manor Royal, Crawley, West Sussex, RH10 9NU, England.

• Entry into this promotion (the “Promotion”) is open to residents of the United Kingdom, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands aged 18 years or over, except for employees of any Promoter company and agencies directly connected with creation of and administration of this Promotion and their families (“Participant”).
• The Promotion prizes available consist of 4 x pairs of return Economy class tickets to any of the following 12 destinations on flights operated by Promoter, originating from either London Heathrow or London Gatwick (“Flight Prizes”).

Terms and Conditions

• By submitting an entry, Participants agree to be bound by the Competition Terms and Conditions set out herein.
• To enter the Promotion, Participants must visit www.virginatlantic.com/letitfly. Via the site, Participants will be asked to pack a digital, personalised travel bag, filling the bag with their favourite travel items from the list available. Based on the items selected, Promoter will propose the most suited destination for the Participant from the list of 12 available destinations specified under B above (“Dream Destination”).
• Participants will then be presented with a personalised travel film of their Dream Destination, after which they will be given an opportunity to win tickets to their Dream Destination by clicking on the “Win Flights to your Dream Destination” button.
• To submit an eligible Promotion entry (“Eligible Entry”), Participants must, within the Promotion Periods specified under Clause 6 below:
  • enter:
    • First and last names;
    • mail address;
    • Telephone number; and
    • Date of Birth;
  • check the box to acknowledge the Competition Terms and Conditions contained herein; and
  • click the “Enter our prize draw to win flights to your perfect destination...” link;
• Participants may re-pack their travel bag at any point before hitting the “Enter” button (and entering the Promotion) for the opportunity to explore alternative Dream Destinations by starting the Promotion process from the beginning. However, after submitting an entry, Participants will not be able to amend or request changes to their Dream Destination.
• Eligible Entries must be submitted within the periods outlined below (the “Periods”). • No purchase is necessary to enter the Promotion but Participants must pay their own costs of connecting to the Internet. Whilst the Participant may submit multiple entries, only one entry made within each Period will be counted, (such entry to be selected at random by third party, Promo Veritas, an independent promotional verification service provider).
• By entering the Promotion, Participants agree to grant the Promoter a perpetual, irrevocable, sub-licensable and worldwide right, and grant all necessary consents for the Promoter to use the entries to publish, distribute, exhibit, use, copy and amend and otherwise exploit the entries whether alone or incorporated in or in conjunction with other works for the purposes of marketing and promotion whether in print, digital outdoor or social advertising.
• Eligible Entries for each Period will be placed into a draw (“Draw”) from which a winner (“Winner”) will be selected at random. Each Draw will be conducted by third party PromoVeritas, within 7 days after the end of each Period. Winners of each Draw will be notified by Promoter within 14 days from the end of the final Period. Winners shall be contacted by the Promoter directly via the email address and/or phone number provided during entry to the Promotion. Winners will be asked to confirm their name and date of birth for verification purposes.
• Unless Participants Opt-In to receive news about the Promoter during the Promotion entry process, Promotor shall only use Participant personal data for the purposes of drawing the Promotion, contacting Winners and otherwise in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. As a condition of entry to the Promotion, Participants acknowledge and agree to the Promotor’s passing of Participant personal data to third party PromoVeritas for the sole purpose of enabling PromoVeritas to draw the competition Winners in accordance with these Competition Terms and Conditions. • Bulk entries made from trade or consumer groups will not be accepted. Incomplete, illegible, entries by macros or other automated means (including systems which can be programmed to enter), and entries which do not satisfy the requirements of these terms and conditions in full will be disqualified and will not be counted. If it becomes apparent that an participant is using a computer(s) to circumvent this condition by, for example, the use of ‘script’, ‘brute force’, masking their identity by manipulating IP addresses, using identities other than their own or any other automated means in order to increase that participant’s entries into the Draw in a way that is not consistent with the spirit of the promotion, that person’s entries will be disqualified and any Flight Prize award will be void.
• Participants must submit their own work. Each participant warrants that their entry and all information which they submit does not infringe the intellectual property, privacy or any other rights of any third party, and does not contain anything which is libellous, defamatory, obscene, indecent, harassing or threatening.
• Receipt of entries will not be acknowledged. Promoter does not accept any responsibility or liability for lost entries or entries which are delayed, damaged, corrupted, incomplete or not received.
• Specific Conditions relating to the Flight Prizes
  • The Flight Prizes available are valid for flights originating in London Heathrow and London Gatwick operated by Promoter.
  • Subject to the Exclusion Dates as set out below, Tickets shall be redeemed between 14 April 2015 to 13th April 2016 inclusive.
  • Tickets cannot be redeemed for travel during the following dates (“Exclusion Dates”):
    • 22nd March to 19th April 2015 inclusive
    • 15th July to 15th September 2015
    • 15 December 2015 to 15th January 2016
    • 13th March 2016 to 10th April 2016
    Popular dates (weekends, school and public holidays) will fill quickly and Promoter cannot guarantee availability. Some flights may already be booked and consequently have no seats available in the applicable booking class. Winners should try to book as much in advance as possible.
  • Flights must be used by the Winner and a guest and are not transferable to another family member, or any other named person nor can they be sold, bartered or substituted for any other prize.
  • Flight Prizes cannot be transferred to any other airline.
  • All applicable taxes, fees, charges and surcharges shall be paid by Promoter.
  • The Winner and their guest must abide by and are subject to Promoter’s published Conditions of Carriage, which are available from Promoter’s offices or via www.virginatlantic.com.
  • Promoter schedules are subject to change without notice. Promoter reserves the right to cease operating any route and in the event of such shall offer the Winner the option to select an alternative route.
  • No Virgin Atlantic Flying Club miles or tier points will be awarded. Flying Club miles cannot be redeemed to upgrade the flights.
  • Once a booking has been confirmed no changes are permitted. If a booking is cancelled no alternative tickets will be issued.
  • The Winner and guest will be entirely responsible arranging and paying for their own transport to and from the departure and arrival airports and also between airports (if applicable), hotel accommodation, car hire, food, beverages, lounge access, visa, passport, travel insurance or medical insurance.
  • Any costs or expenses not expressly included in the Flight Prize pursuant to these Terms and Conditions including without limitation, excess baggage, car parking charges, excursions, attractions will be the sole responsibility of the Winner and/or their guest.
  • Each Winner must travel on the same flight and on the same date as their guest. If the Winner wishes to travel alone, the second ticket will be forfeited.
• The Flight Prize may not be used in conjunction with any other promotion or promotional fare mounted by Promoter or any third party.
• It is a condition of accepting the Flight Prize that the Winner gives his/her consent for the Promoter to publish their name and county of residence in association with the Flight Prize in any and all forms or media as required by law or otherwise in connection with the Promotion. Winners may be expected to participate in reasonable publicity.
• The name and county of the Flight Prize Winners are available after 3rd April 2015 by visiting www.promowinners.com/letitfly
• Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Flight Prize for an alternative equivalent prize if for any reason beyond the control of Promoter, Promoter is unable to award the Flight Prize. No cash alternative will be available in whole or in part.
• By submitting entries, Participants agree to release the Promoter from any liability whatsoever for any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Promotion or with the acceptance, possession, or use of any Flight Prize (except death or personal injury caused by the Promoter’s negligence, for fraud, or otherwise as prohibited by law).
• The Promoter’s decision as to Winners is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
• The Winners accept the Flight Prize at his/her own risk.
