The fact that clients have just happened to have paid AFTER you went on maternity should be irrelevant.
The bonus should be paid on everything up to the end of the year.
It would be unfair otherwise.
I would ask them to either pay it, or agree to add it on to next year.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')

Down to the details of the contractual bonus scheme.
Can you can show they failed to follow it or it is discriminating against those on maternity.
Not sure how anyone can say what you should get without seeing the contract terms of the bonus.
Comparators might be some one sick for the same period or finishes before the end of the bonus year.0 -
