I became debt free despite still having the odd beer or ten. Remember you agree to pay creditor a say £10 per month and that's all you can afford they will come back in a few months for an increase. If you had been honest your stuck because you have no leeway to increase payments. Say you only had £10 for that creditor start at £1 then after few months increase to £2 then £3. They get their increase and you less stress. Your'e still playing ball but at your terms. In life you need to still have a life as well as paying things back. I went through a phase of what's the point working for nothing no fun allowed. You will get through it chin up.
For me, there's a lot of emotion behind my debts and the legacy of a bad past life haunts me every day. Thats why I'm so determined to shift these debts yet I still struggle with basic budgeting. NSD today
Well done. Sounds a bit of a cliche but if you can control your debts, rather than them controlling you, then you will feel so much better. Good progress!
