Early repayment taken without me asking for it to be!

Are you serious? They took money out her account without her permission. How do I make an early repayment is a question not permission! :rotfl:
Follow the complaints procedure- their own and the independent one. Have you been liable for any bank charges for going overdrawn?
I don't disagree with what you're saying, I just wonder what the OP's motivation is and what they actually want to happen, if anything.
She wanted to pay them back and has done so. Whilst it caused her some difficulty at the time, it would seem that now that the event has passed she is in the position she wanted to be in.What will your verse be?

I can't see an ongoing problem here.0

Tbh I see this attitude in a lot of the threads, 'it's done with now so why persue it?'
Can't speak for the OP but my motivation would be to let them know it's unacceptable behavior, my experience with these companies is you give them an inch and they take a mile.
Likelihood is if you ignore this next time it will be a £10 increase, and the time after that £20... it's not to much to much to expect a basic degree of competency and not to be taken advantage of like a cash cow.
Also this company in particular seems to be particularly bad, complaint come up again and again.0 -

I don't think the company was mentioned anywhere; do you know something I dont?
Life is too short to be messing around with complaints like this. What will your verse be?

It will restore your honour, make you feel proud, protect your house, give you a job, clean up the neighbourhood, remind you of how great you once were, clear out the venal and the corrupt, remove anything you feel is unlike you... [it] doesn't walk in saying, "our programme means militias, mass imprisonments, transportations, war and persecution."0

Posted in the wrong thread, was suppose to post here:

Similar questions, what do you want out of this why are you continuing with a complaint etc.
I'd say the exact same thing as I posted for both situations. If you don't follow through the company won't have any incentive to change.
How many people STILL leave bad reviews despite getting a 'satisfactory' resolution at a restaurant? [i.e. apology and money off the bill].
Although in this case i'd go a lot further and say they broke the law? I'm pretty sure their are rules against what they did.
It's about standards, how can they improve them if they're not told where they went wrong. Look at how poor our customer service is compared to America, because the Americas are really uptight about it and we are much to laid back about it.0 -

The obvious difference is that, in the other thread, the OP has an ongoing relationship with EDF. I can understand their complaint as otherwise EDF will do the same thing again next time.
In this thread, the OP does not appear to have nor want further dealings with the company in question.
So the OP can follow the complaint through but they'll probably just get an apology from a company they won't deal with again.
Is it worth it?What will your verse be?

If someone took money from my account without permission I'd wasn't the company held to account. There may not be anything more than an apology, but if many complaints are raised, the ombudsman will be more likely to act and prevent this sort of behaviour in future.
If you're happy with companies helping themselves to your cash, by all means do nothing.0
