I would have thought because as a worker he won't be claiming housing benefit. The so called bedroom tax is actually a benefit sanction.You're living alone in a three-bedroom council house? How come you haven't been clobbered by the bedroom tax?Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0 -

I would speak to your local Council about moving to a smaller property. I would bet that they would be really pleased someone is willing to downsize. Or how about looking at a house swap? It may bring your CT down and possibly your heating bills. At the moment the gas bill is horrendous!Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)0
