Do you read the news on your phone or tablet?

I have always been really passionate about news.

I have been tinkering with the idea of a news app that represents the data quite differently than the existing apps I’ve seen.

So I was wondering if this is something other people - equally passionate about news - would like as well.

I would really appreciate it, if you had a moment to fill in this 5 question-survey.

Sounds very like News Republic.

If you have a great idea for an app, there's a good chance someone's already done it....

News Republic is interesting. I am using it myself, but its not what I had in mind.

I wouldn't see it that negative. Many ideas are similar, it is more about the execution and also the focus of the idea.

I dont need to fill in the survey, I read the news on my laptop and tend not to use my tablet for the news nor my smartphone.

At a push I may use my tablet for FB, albeit when I go on holiday I take my netbook to keep me updated on daily events including the news.

I never 'fill out' surveys, I only fill them in!

I used to use the BBC News app on my android phone, but don't any more after they downgraded it from a simple concise app to something way too complex for simple phone use :mad:

ah sorry, that must have been the German influence (ausfuellen). So surveys are filled in. I learned something new.

Yes I agree with you that simplicity is the key. Nobody likes the kitchen sink thrown in.

I filled in/out your survey, as much to fly in the face of some of the posters on here as anything else.
There seems to be plenty of choice out there to garner news, however, I will always give something else a try. That said, it would have to be something extra special to win out over the free content that's already available.
