Getting my bum in gear. Ranting redhead ALERT!!

Well helloooooooo
Guess I should introduce myself. I'm K and I'm far too close to 30 to even THINK about it
Got me a cool dude 12 year old DS. He's ace but high school is really testing my patience all over again haha. Woke up at 5 this morning, thought I was being robbed. Turns out DS had been up all night playing playstation and was STILL UP
Broke up with my fianc! about 4 years ago. That's when the money became an issue. Mortgage solely in my name which is a godsend really but halving the income while doubling most bills was a nightmare.
Defaulted on a lot of stuff, really struggled but now I've managed to get finances under control. I'm now earning enough to cover what needs to be covered and finished a loan last year which really helped! To be fair I'm just stupidly lazy. I think about looking at finances but previously just lived month to month and couldn't be bothered making any changes. I've got direct debits I don't even know what for!!
Now that's all done, I wanna kick some serious debt rear end.
Only got 3 things really. Credit card of about a grand, store card of about the same and my mortgage.
Oh and an overdraft. A 500 overdraft I'm in and tasting the bottom of the darn barrel literally every month
I'm giving myself a year to pay the 2 cards and then it's mortgage time.
Keeping a cheeky diary is for my own benefit really but if you pop in, why not pop your feet up, have a cuppie (or a wine!!) and say hi!
The more I know people are keeping an eye the more motivated I will be!
Anyway, I'm off to gander at some challenges. See what I've got myself into :-)
Today's goal... DO NOT GO TO SUPERMARKET AND SPEND TWENTY QUID ON FOOD YOU DONT NEED JUST "BECAUSE ITS THE WEEKEND"

Sealed pot challenge ... Accepted!! That's my overdraft sorted if all goes well :-)
SOA is done. Apparently I've got lots of money left over, I wonder where that actually is. Perhaps DS has a secret basement full of pound coins that he swims in, laughing gloriously??
More likely I spend with zero brain cells activated.
On a positive note, I don't necessarily need to increase my earnings (would be nice though hehe) to start clearing some of this nonsense. Found another store card I haven't used in years but am still paying minimum payment on. Went from 3 debts to 5 in about half an hour.
